How Mama Sita’s Story Began
Laurie devoted herself to her previous employer for nearly 12 years, yet never felt satisfied in her career path. She began browsing countless office positions, certainly not feeling any excitement knowing that she may soon be sitting behind another cubicle.
One day, after relentlessly searching the classifieds, Laurie decided to take a break, relax, and do something that makes her happy. So Laurie took a walk. She took her three loving pet companions on a nice long walk to clear her mind and happened to notice an ad posted on a mailbox in her neighborhood. The ad was offering dog walking services.
In that instant, she knew what she was meant to do. Laurie wanted to spend her time doing something significant where all involved would benefit by her time and efforts. She had always known that she is happiest when surrounded with her animals yet had never imagined she could make a successful business out of it.
And it began, she put out her own ad and started her dream business, Mama Sita’s Pet Services!
The Story of Mama Sita’s Logo
On the right in the logo is Mugsy, a Lhasapoo born in 2000 and rescued in 2007. Mugsy came from a Kijiji ad placed by the owner who was moving into a new building that did not allow pets.
Chichi, a short haired Chihuahua and pictured on the left. Also rescued in 2007 from the Toronto Humane society, Chichi was taken by animal services from a puppy mill in Milton.
She was 4 years old at the time and had already given birth to 6 litters, was infested with fleas and had not been housebroken as she had lived in a crate all her life.
